Well almost done, there are a few odd and ends that need to be done but at least I can drive it. It took almost 2 1/2 years to get this done.
I bought this car from my uncle who was the original owner about 3 years ago. After I got it home and the sun started hitting it, the old plastic bumbers started cracking real bad. Since I was going to be replacing the bumpers, I figured I would just do the whole car. It had about 5 layers of paint from different little mishaps he had with the car. The interior was really dirty so I cleaned it up with Simple Green and a scrub brush. That stuff works really good. I replaced the carpeting and few odd and ends on the interior that needed to be replaced. I did not do a frame off on this since all I want it for is a cruiser and a parade every now and then. With all the parts and supplies, I think I put in close to $10K into this car.
The car has 45K miles and I am only the second owner of the car. I tried to reuse as much as I could but Corvette Central and Mid-America Motorworks still love me.
