If you don't care about originality, the catalogs say the 75-82 arm is a functional replacement for the early arm so that’s the one you would buy.

Good question. The obvious answer would be anything built after January would be a late build date but I have no documentation to prove it. Perhaps someone else does. The web site listed below will tell you what month your car was built based on the VIN number.
