Default number and date code help needed

I was told that the heads on my 68 327 didn't match the build date of the motor/car, could one of you decipher these numbers for me.

Trim tag L02

Engine stamp VO628HE

Block casting date

Head casting dates

C 19 8 in case you can't see it in the last picture. Both heads are 291s

Thanks guys.

If I'm reading right, your car was built In July

Your block was cast June 26th. Should be OK there.
Your block was assembled June 28th. Looks OK
One head is May of 68 and the other March of 68. NCRS allows a 6 mo window so your heads should be dated OK too.

I don't see any issues, unless I'm missing something.

Thank you! I thought it was alright but I wanted to be sure.

Can anyone decipher the Pad Stamping VO628HE That is the engine assembly date, isn't it?

Head and intake manifold casting dates do not have to match the block casting date, but all three should predate the engine assembly date.

I'm sorry, I just saw that you already gave me the engines assembly date in your first post.

Thanks again,
