Well.... the first time... I was driving around the block testing homemade Tri-Power linkage for a 1959 Ford with a 292 V8... bored, balanced.... 3/4 race cam etc. Offy intake. Somebody called the police and said I was doing something "suspicious" (I guess) so an unmarked NY State Police car showed up and followed me home. Threatend to give me a ticket for several violations... obstructed vision.... who knows. There were no violations... but they can do whatever they want... and I was polite... not mouthy. As hinted above... he was just being a "richard". My mom came out and ripped him a new one for picking on her "kids"... which was actually their favorite past-time in my neighborhood. He left me with a warning.

The second time was in NJ on the access road to RT 80/287 interchange... Parsippany... 1966 Corvette... pulled me over... gave me a ticket.

I don't like that kind of "unwanted attention"... so I don't do that anymore.

you can't sit on the toilet without breaking a law somewhere... depends on the mood of the officer.. don't give them a reason..

I can just about guarandamnTEEyou that the **** state of Faryland will pull you over and ticket hell out of you for anything they can dream up, you will be lucky they don't tow and impound the car, and I"m unfortunately dead serious about it.....

Damn sure the case around Monkey Co. Md, outside DC, they consider that a case of ultimate safety issue, calling Nader himself for a inspection for you to get your car back.....

Can't imagine cash strapped Baltimore area being any more lenient.....

IF you were in way Western Md.....or in the middle of BFEastern shore away from OC/Cambridge you MAY get away with it .....

spent 40 years living as a hotrodder in that state.....tell me all about it.....I dun lived/existed it....

I ran without my hood for probably 3 years. No one ever said anything. Then again, we don't have inspections in Minnesota. Tho I don't understand how a hood is a safety violation.
