Default Corvette Forum Garage!

Hey, check it out. You get to list all of your mods, future mods, and load up to 60 pictures. And it's fast too! This has got to be one of the best improvements to the forum yet. When I get a piece of advice from somebody I don't recognize their username, I can look in their garage to see if they know what they are talking about by checking out their car. Just click on my username, and then click on Bee Jay's garage. This is way cool!
Bee Jay
Edit: even better and quicker, just click on 1979 Chevrolet Corvette, just above my Avitar.
Edit again: only six pictures show up originally, but just click on "click to see more pictures"

The biggest negative is that you have to enter some goofy nickname to make it accept your info. Not everyone names their car like some dweeb.

Its also unfortunate that its so "mod" and "racing" heavy. Stock Corvette people don't get garages?

Plus under your screen name it only lists one car... what if you have more than that?

Good idea; poorly executed.

I'm glad the Pinto was removed but I think it should be restricted to Corvettes. (I'd give up my C3 in a heartbeat for the right shoebox)

It's a nice alternative to using fotki (et al) as a web site for their vettes.

Im not saying Im not a dweeb, just not a dweeb who names his car.

Oh, and I just might actually drive my '58 just as much as anyone drives their C3 just in case there was a question. Ill drive the '69 whenever it gets done.

I did have to come up with a nick name for my car. I've owned the car 30 years and never named it. The nick name is a mandatory field. Other than that, I think it's way cool.

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Suspension Modifications:
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Future Modifications:

These fields don't make sense. Why is everything about 'Modifications'?

Hey AMFIX, I just tried to give you 5 stars. Very nice car. What size are your rear tires? the description says 295/45-18. Did you mean 295/35-18s? Also, what hood is that. I like that hood.

Hello Bee Jay!,in my garage pictures it is 295-35-18,but im going to put on a set of Nitto nt-555, 295-45-18,just have to do some more burn-outs with my old set.Iv´e done some mods to make room for that big tire-28,3"tall!.The hood is my orginal, i cut on each side along the sides, then i lift just the top off the hood 2inches,and re-glass it!,i also did a cold air chamber on inside. This is not my first language,so it´s hard to explain!.Anyway if there is any interest i can shoot some pictures how it works

What mods? Have you seen the mods I made to make the 295/35-18 tires fit my car? I had to notch the frame slightly. I didn't know anyone made a 295/45-18 tire. After I burn these 295s out, I'm gonna try 305s. I think I made enough room. Don't worry about your English, we will understand your Vettespeak. Yes, post pictures of you hood mods, from the top and from below.

I don't give my cars their own names. I think the nickname field is just so you can put a label on multiple cars to tell them apart at a glance.

The mod sections are probably primarily for the C5/C6 crowd. It should also have a field for yards of double-sided tape used.
