Black Rocker Panels
What kind of paint would you use if you were going to paint your rocker panels all black? (semigloss, gloss, or trim paint) Does anyone have a picture? I'm gonna paint my 79 rocker panels black and leave out the stripe, just looking for some advice.

Being as though your car is black I really like how the using the matte finish on the rockers provides for some contrast between these two sections. Nice Choice
I think if my car were not black that I'd prefer some subtle sheen to the rocker finish.

I have an 80, repainted bright blue metalic. I removed the rockers, cleaned them up with steel wool, primed them with rattle can grey, and top coated them with black semi gloss. Ya gotta get new black head screws or paint them to match. I do occasionally put car polish on the rockers when polishing the vette. They still look great after about 3- 4 years and lots of miles. Easy project that lots of C3's need.
