I was talking with a guy today & he said he had a 1980 with a 350 engine that was 8" shorter than all others......he said they only made 300 of them & he has the lone remaining example.
Now, I usually know bUllsh!t when I hear it...but, I'm not an expert on 'vettes....still????

Stock bore is 4.00", so, does he have about 2 less cylinders per bank? If not, where did they pick up the 8" differences?

If he said it it must be true, just like Internet postings. I'd ask him if you could see the engine and take some pictures of this rare engine to post on the forum. I've been on the forum for ~9 years and I'm suprised that nobody has mentioned this engine before today.
No one here has heard of it because it's the only one left. Can't you guys read? :
I'm not sure what he would even be confusing it with. He could mean "cubic inches" but that doesn't make sense either. Has he heard of the 350 long block and is terribly discombobulated?
