After much searching, I finally chose a particular 1979 Corvette. I picked it up Saturday and, after 10 years of being Corvette-less, I'm a very happy camper.
I wanted to post pictures and also thank everyone for listening to my story and helping me along the way. I have learned a lot from the posts I read on this forum and from chatting with a few of the members. I'm sure I will still need you guys for advice and might have some silly questions, but thank you in advance for your patience.
I love all C3's and it was the best buy for the money, so it wasn't really the year that attracted me to the car. The car is in great condition, was garage kept/well cared for, and I got it for a great price. It is a numbers matching car as well and has completely original paint. I also got at least $2,000 worth of spare parts with it for free!
Good choice! 79 is a nice year Seems like you've got good potential for a perfect interior. Just a lot of cleaning and then inspect everything carefully and find out things what might need replacing. You probably won't find many. I got mine in pretty much similar state - quite nice in a photo, a few issues here and there when sitting inside and I've now almost gotten rid of those.
first of all congrats.... you say you were corvetteless for 10 yrs. what other yr. did you have??? no engine pic????? so what was the great price ??? enjoy....
