78-82s. A couple years ago I had someone tell me you can't remove the black inner rear window trim unless the glass is out.
I've has guys say they refinished it in place
Finally got tired of the stickyness(anyone know why they sometimes feel that way?)and some scuffs and looked into it myself.
Took off one side of the interior halo panel, in my case the driver side, and extended the seatbelt as far as possible and laid the panel on the folded forward seats.
The package shelf maneuvered out easily. 10 minutes start to removed!
Couple applications of paint stripper and a good wash followed by a couple coats of flat black. I did use a gun to lay the paint on for better coverage.
Look like new again! I ended up doing 3 of them!

Well, other than "remove screws", that's pretty much it
Really been a matter of does it come out or not.
I've wanted to do this for a few years now. They look soooo good now
