The thread with this title:
(convertible latch pictures needed) ,had replies that posted pictures of decklids, with pins at each corner right and left.
I have a 68 vert project, and I have more than one illustration but, they are different. The one labled 68-72 does not show the pins. The others do.
Does the 68 model year not have those pins?
If it does, where do the pins insert into?
neither illustration that I have shows where they insert into.
TIA. Steve
68s do not have the corner pins. It's pretty much Plain Jane under the decklid. The AIM has good illustrations of what you want/need and the original part numbers.
Thank you..I looked at the aim.I just wanted to be sure,as stated in the OP I have other diagrams that show the pins...probably just generic dwgs.but captioned 68-72 so...
Thank's again for the answer.Steve
Here's a tip about AIM usage: if you're looking for a part and it is not in the AIM, it means that part was not installed on the assembly line. It was probably included in an assembly and the installation of the assembly will be shown in the AIM.
Engine are a good example. The engine section of the AIM begins with a long block and shows only those items added to the long block by assembly line folks.
