I believe that it might be an LS7 crate engine from the early 80s. Very nice find!

Block cast June 25 1982, assembled in Tonawanda NY on July 22.

14015445 is commonly used in light/medium duty truck engines. To my knowledge, they are the last breed of MkIV, thus they have the least amount of metal in them, I think they are good enough for up to .060 over bore, but cannot handle .100+.

14015445 is a 78-90 454.
f 25 2 date code for June 25th, 2 is year so based on above would be 82.
T0722XCH enigne code, T=Towandowa (sp) engine plant, 0722 is assembly date (July 22nd which is in line with the June 25 casting date), and XCH is useage code and I could not find any listing for a big block with the XCH code.

I could not find a XCH useage code either....and I really tried! All the above fall's in place other than that. Maybe the OP needs to re-check the numbers...just don't know?

XCH code is known to be for over-the-counter LS7 crate engines.

Why would a crate engine use a production line code (factory/assembly date/usage code) and not a CE code?

CE's were short blocks, not complete engines. I believe most recent GM crate engines have a conventional stamp pad ID.
