Hello Neighbor, welcome. I'm just down the street from you in Chino Hills. I sometimes run with Sparky and the Block of Orange crowd, but they're mainly into C6's. They have good runs, but they drive way the hell too fast. There's about a dozen C3's scattered about in Chino Hills, but nothing is organized and none are on the forum. Send me a private em with your location, and I'll cruise on by and we can check out each others rides, regards, Jeff

Hey guys, I have two C3's and have the same problem. All the gatherings tend to be c6/mid-lifer events. I am down in Carlsbad but am up for doing some C3 directed events. I do have a C5, but love the C3's.

This has been on my mind also... I do like hitting it with the C5 and 6's (Our brothers) and I have no problem keeping up, and can very well hold my own. But I am usually the only C3 there...One of you guys need to get about 30 of us together here in the LA area and have a PCH cruze or something... A row of C3's and a few C5 and C6 token vets would be way way

That's perfect, only about 15 miles from my house, in fact, I work at the Costco right across the freeway, the wife and I are going for a bicycle ride early Sunday, but I'll be there in my '72 at 10:30. If I can wake my lazy son up, he can bring his '02 Z06. See ya there, Jeff

I'm in Winchester close to Temecula. Unfortunately my '80 is out of commission for now. Should be getting her back on the road very soon.

Took my '72 out to starbucks on Santa Ana Canyon this morning but nobody else showed up. Stuck around til 10:40, then left. Took off the T tops and rear window and had a nice cruise back home through Carbon Canyon. Passed by 4 C6's on the way home and got a wave form all of them...

Sorry Lowbuck we started showing up at 11:00am everyone was running late. To play it safe in the future use 11am as a time line.

Default Coming to America!

Douglas,
As luck would have it, four Australian Corvetters will be landing in LAX at about 10:30 a.m. this Sunday 16th. We're staying at the Howard Johnson Anaheim and would love to hook up with some LA Corvetters when we hit town, and the meeting at Starbucks sounds like the place.

I don't know how long it will take to clear Customs & Immigration and to pick up the rental car, but we COULD be able to get to Starbucks by early afternoon. I know it's a lot to ask to stick around to meet four people with funny accents driving a rental car, but we all talk a common language; Corvettes!

Even if we miss you Sunday, could we meet some of you guys one evening? We're booked on a tour to Tijuana on Wednesday, and Universal Studios Thursday, but have Monday, Tuesday and Friday reasonable free.

If you're interested, our phone # at HoJo is 714-776-6120 and ask for Aussie John Smith and crew, who consist of, my gf Rose and friends David Beal and Gary Starr. I own a '74 coupe, David a '78 Pace Car and Gary an '87 4+3.

Let me know if anyone can stick around Sunday, or catch up with us one day or night. On Saturday 22, we're off to Hearst Castle, staying in San Simeon, and on Sunday 23, we drive up to meet some other Forum members in the San Francisco area. On the 29th, we're off to Bowling Green with the NorCal Caravan, so won't be in LA for long, but we'd sure like to meet some of you guys when we're there.

Regards from Down Under

G'day,
I just pm'd Douglas re timing, but 1:30 to 2 is better for us. Plane arrives at 10:21, but Customs and Immigration might take a while. Then we have to pick up the car and negotiate LA traffic, driving on the wrong ( for us!!! ) side of the road. Depending on how long we're kept at the airport, we'll either drive to HoJo and check in first, or go straight to your meeting place.

Look forward to meeting you all. Just thinking, if you all wear a name tag, it will make it easier for us to remember all of your names, as we'll be a bit jet lagged and tired, but not too tired to talk Corvettes.

Regards from Down Under
