When putting back together just use a bolt in the back and nut in the front so you can slide the console back on - it will hold and make it easier to get to the next time.
Passenger side power window wouldn't go down last night. I thought it might be the switch since the drivers side worked. That's reason for removing the center console. Well, decided not to remove the console b/c that bolt was tricky to get to. Then about 1/2 hour ago, I tried the window again and it worked. It sounds different than the drivers side so I am guessing its the motor or something in the door panel.
Question: Are these cars possessed or just fickle old machines that we love?

Did you check for power to the motor first? It's easier to pull the door panel than the center console. If you have power at the motor then use a jumper wire from the battery to test the motor.
Also, at least in the later years you can pull just the front part of the console, where the switches are without pulling the rear.

Steve, they are possessed...trust me on this. I see where you are located...so, make room for a New 73 convertible in town...Surf City area.
We need to have a get togther at LBI sometime with C3 Vettes. I'm in Brant Beach most of the summer. Early September would be nice. Not so crowded but still warm.
