Here you go. I spoke with the customizer - Jon Stewart. He is a good guy, easy to talk with. Here is the link to his shop if you are interested...

81 widebody
My father bought this around '89 and had the color changed from silver to gold and added the wheels. Been in storage since '94 when he died. Finally pulled it out and got it running the past 2 summers. He drove it to work daily, so it's got 91,000 miles on it. Not sure if it's an Ecklers or Greenwood kit, but haven't taken it to any shows to get opinions. Yours are welcomed.

That is the cleanest of the widebody kits. There are a bunch of us over at www.makoshark2.com if you'd care to check it out.

Just got back from a 2,000 mile round trip to pick mine up.
I have not even taken a picture of it yet.
Will post as soon as I can.
Also, like everyone else says, there is a special section on wide bodies over at makoshark2.com if anyone is interested.
BTW, that is a great looking car. I am glad you are enjoying it!

My new widebody
Pics of my new acquisition.
If not the same kit as EclecticActor, then very similar. It is based off of a Greenwood Turbo GT though i'm not sure who made the panels. Ecklers, ACI, and Corvette America all seemed to offer them, probably others as well.
Anyone know how to ID them?
Thanks in advance!

Like the old widebodys and 70s/80s customs. Good glass/custom paint a lost art these days.
What kind of weight would one of these kits typically add?

IMHO, This is what the C3 should have looked like from the factory, 10 inch wheels all around, Back in the 80's they where called Fat Fenders. A very talented Body shop owner / Corvette enthuaist in San Diego Designed them. He built about 5 cars and sold kits to who ever wanted them. He did not built this one in the magazine. They are more race cars out there with this Fat fender than street cars. I have alot of pics of this fat fender. Will post more pics when I have more time.
