If you going to buy all new parts it will cost alot. You will have to add the core charges for the trailing arms, brake calipers and the rear diff. to your purchase price seeing as you don't have any parts to turn in.
If your willing and able to do some work, sandblasting and paint along with rebuilding stuff like the trailing arms and possibly the differential and the brakes, you could probably save a chunk of money buying used.
Nickolas,
When you say the car has no rear suspension, do you mean that just the transverse spring is missing, or the complete differential, driveshafts, trailing arms, brakes, etc.?
If it's the whole kit and caboodle, then a phone call to a couple of Corvette wrecking yards would be the way to go. If it's just the spring, consider fitting a plastic one from one of the Forum advertisers and you'll get a much more compliant ride than you'll get from a steel one.
You may want to try Duntov Motors for some of the things you need, as they don't require cores for their stuff. For example you can get rebuilt trailing arms for $539, springs, shocks, etc. and they offer free shipping on most things. As far as all the bushings I would recommend you take a look at wilcox, they have good prices and good service as well as great technical references. Of course, you will need to acquire an AIM and service manual, to make sure everything goes back together as it should!
Depends on what you want,i have busted 2 rears and on my 3rd.If you want high hp the stock irs isnt going to hold up,its only good for handling. You can go with toms irs that are built extra strong to handle hp.or go back to solid rear, there are a couple guys on here that have bought kits from companys that make it for our cars.I like toms irs but it cost $. i am saving up Autofab is a company that makes solid rear suspensions for our cars,Very good system too.The weakest point on our cars is the irs, wasnt made to take alot of hp.
