OK, just got back from the track with another dissapointing run. my issue is im running out of fuel at the top end, just put the holley 170 gpm pump with regulator at 7.5 psi, so my pump is not the issue, engine builder says i need 1/2'' line now, and i can only suck so much threw a straw. i run better on street tires i think because i only have issues when im running the drag radials, must be the g force pushing the fuel back to the tank. so how many of you guys had to upgrade to 1/2'' fuel line and how did you run it?

bs on needing 1/2 inch line. the engine can suck more fuel thru a 1/4 inch line than it can use. if you were running out of fuel you would be knocking and having alot of other issues. i came from a 635 hp awd twin turbo car and even that used the stock line from the fuel tank.
i would check your fuel filter for clogs or put an aftermarket inline filter in and another thing to look at if your sure its a fuel issue is get a baffeled fuel cell if you track it alot.
The stock fuel line feed 600+ HP L88s in their day. It will easily feed you combo. No need to go to a bigger fuel line. Something else is the problem. Check from the fuel pump to the carb, I'll bet there is a restiction or a clog.
Are you sure the float is set correctly? There are two small holes in the inside of the q-Jet that feed fuel to the secondary pickup area. Have they been increased in size from stock? This modification is cover in books such as How To Build and Modify Rochester Carburetors by Cliff Ruggles
