Not to further $hit on your thread but.... I left a threatening message this morning for Copperhead, ironically enough, Dalene called me back. I basically ripped her *** wide open. She said my kit is scheduled to be ordered on the 20th and that I should have it before the 28th. I told her I wanted to cancel my order, she says it will be a $43 charge, each way to cancel. I told her I was fully aware of their delivery issues and I had been in contact with Art and George at VA. I told her I would call VA. on the 20th to make sure the order had been placed, if not, I would just dispute the charges on the card. SO basically I am giving them one shot and one shot only..... I am hoping I don't get dragged down the same BS you went through with yours.
I could not get an answer out of her as to why it takes them 2-3 wks to place the order when they have payment in full. She just responded that I was made aware of the 2-3wk delivery time(which I was) and that is common practice. I definetly think this is a "Rob Peter to Pay Paul" scenario here.
Fair warning for anyone searching this thread for Vintage Air AC kits to NOT buy from Copperhead Auto, or Copperhead Cars or Copperhead Racing....
I won't further muddy up your thread here...just thought I would throw a warning out for future buyers.
With the recession the company is probably going into on-demand delivery. Inventory costs can be substantial. So when you order, they build. And that takes time. Nothing on the shelf. Sign of the times.
