problems with bolds
I want to take off the body to restore the chassis. I disconnected all the wires, tubes and bolds.
Except for two bolds I can not loosen. Those are hidden in front of the rear wheels. They keep the chassis and the body together. I tried turning them and they turn but they do not seem to loosen.
Anybody can help me out and tell me what to do?

I guess it is bolts than. Sorry I am not a native speaker. I live in Belguim and speak Flamish ( sounds like dutch with a different accent)
I can not find the nuts. Are they welded onto the chassis inside the frame?
If this is the case, what can I do?

The bolts in ft. of the rear wheels have a captured nut as you can see in the picture below. My guess would be the square nut that is captured below the metal bracket has rusted severly and will just spin.
You will probally have to cut the head off with a saw or a cutting torch, if you go with the cutting torch you will have to be carefull and not catch anything on fire (fiberglass burns quite well).
And don't wory about the English you seem to get close enough for us to guess what you mean. If not we will respond with a question to clarify what you are talking about.

You will have to cut into the plastic piece covering the bolt area, but you can use a SawzAll to cut the heads off the bolts. There should only be a small slot to fill after you are done. I wouldn't try to use a torch with the body on the car.

cut the bolt heads off, then lift the body, then fix the mounts, if your lucky you may not have to cut into the body to complete the repairs. 69VETT
