Default Question before ordering parts from Willcox

-What speedometer gear are the correct when i have changed to 3.73 diff. (35 theth gave me the correct reading when i had a 3.05 diff) (I belive it to be 40)

I have a fairly stock 454 engine and ignition (73)

-Can you give me some more info on the spark plug wires you are selling?
-Can you recommend a set for me, I see that you are selling several that would fit my car?
-What is the difference on the early and late 73 spark plug wires (454)?
-Why should I have with radio? Is it only for noise reduction, or is there any performance advantage?

Kayosnes.

Got the mail, I'm out of town and not at Carlisle. I'm having problems with the computer in my office (where the customer service emails go).

Your car would have used the braided wires. The difference is the date code on the wires for early and late cars. Remember these are "correct" wires and depending on when the car was built either of these would be correct,

The braided shield helped keep the ignition noise out of the radio so either of these woudl be correct for the car.

If you are not looking for 100 percent correct wires then you can run these:
http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...oducts_id=2022
The won't have any braided shield on them.

On your speedo gear, it would be a 20 tooth gear if the tire size is correct on the car and you have a Manual transmission. Here is the chart. http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=135

Here is the link for the 20 tooth gear.

I will not have my office computer repaired until Monday. The network card went out on it and we put a wireless card in. The think keeps cutting in and out on me! This makes it hit or miss trying to access it with a virtual network. So if anyone else is trying to email me. . . .Hang in there.

That might explain the delay im experiencing on waiting for a reply from Willcox. I am waiting on some addition info and was hoping to get the order placed before the end of this month to take advantage othe deals going on at the moment the shopping basket is now over 3 grand so all savings help. Cheers

Your original transmission used a driven gear sleeve that is only capable of running gears from 35-39 teeth.

When you change to a 3:70 you’ll need a 42 tooth gear but you’ll also need to change the driven gear sleeve to one that will handle a driven gear with 40-45 teeth.

According to what I show you’ll need a 42 tooth driven gear combined with a different sleeve.

http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...oducts_id=6934 Gear.

http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...oducts_id=6924 Sleeve

Here is the 73 AT chart. http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=286

Hi Roger... I goofed on my schedule! You probably found Tom from Vette Masters.... If so, did he get you converted????

We don't set up parts at shows any longer but I was going to fly up with my best friend. We did this last year and had a ball!

25 years of swap meets wore me out and then you factor in the great state of Pa wanting a tax cut. It just became to much of a hassle.

I'll be there next year for sure, then you can buy me that steak diner!

Sorry!

Thank you!

The glue and the exhaust wrap were dropped off the order. They can't ship international. The exhaust wrap kit has a spray can which is forbidden and the glue is also not allowed.
