Not sure with the way things are going in my life right now, that I'll ever get to attend an event like Carlisle.
Web cams would be nice.
For those of you that attend. Thanks for the pics you post.
It helps.
If they had several webcams around the Carlisle Fairgrounds. For the couple of us they are not able to attend?
if they did, you would see what a waste of time it would be to attend and you would thank your lucky stars you stayed in Mass. For the one's that hear all the hype and "MUST" attend, they will never get that time back!!!! Junk parts and overpriced egos...........................
PS: If they did put video on the net, I'm sure they would charge you to watch, these are the same people that put attendants at the porta-johns expecting a tip when you come out................

Yeah, alot of the vendors really don't take car of their parts and still try to sell them at top dollar. You can usually tell them right away by the tons of plastic containers spread out, and all of them are filled with parts floating in last night's rain. But there are several guys selling decent stuff.
The attendants at the porta-johns was kinda rediciulous. I understand that they help control the traffic when there's alot of people using them, but at the end of the day I'm still peeing in a tupperware septic tank.
Carlisle is alot of fun though. You can see tons of rare cars that you wouldn't normally see, and you get to meet some really cool people. Every Corvette person should go at least once.
No, I can't stand all the fervor about the place, at any event there. I used to get there when the gates would open, and would spend 2 hours or so walking around just to see 85% of the vendors not awake and their stuff covered with tarps!!! I will not attend it later in the day due to poor traffic management from the turnpike in, just horrible!!! I was there for the spring Carlisle, I called a guy for some Vette parts earlier in the week, he said he would meet me there on Thurs afternoon. I left work at 1pm in Lancaster, got there at about ten of 2, met him at the main gate, paid and picked up the parts (no more than 10 mins) and was home by 3:15. This is how I LIKE Carlisle, no muss no fuss..................But that's me..................
I don't know that a live web feed would ever come to pass but how about a CD with pictures of all the special display cars and the event winners? Then add some random shots from around the fairgrounds. Something like 250 - 300 digital pictures would be good. It's not like pictures aren't being taken anyway. Sell it for a reasonalbe price like $10.00 including shipping and handling and you might just have something for those that would like to attend but can't. The promoters would still making money off the event. A win - win? Maybe?
I was there yesterday and saw two camera crews wandering around, one of them appeared to be from HBO. Not sure what the other one was for, but the guy doing interviews had a FIAT shirt on.

That would be great to see, 3,000 miles is a bit far for me to travel!
