Default 1978 seat question

My 78 has the pace car version seats(Black not silver) but is not a pace car model. Did GM give you a choice of seats if you wanted the pace car style?

Nope. Sounds like you have '79 seats.......

That being said, I know for a fact that the last '78 built had '79 seats. Huber Chevy here in Omaha had it on the showroom floor for years. It was black with a black interior, & Vette guys noticed those seats right away....

You don't happen to have a super late VIN by chance?

8 out of 10 people walking past your car would never notice the seats.
SEVNT6 and I are the other two....

doubt it! just ask anyone with a pace car and they can tell you the difference, lol! particularly those of us that rebuilt the interiors and had to return 78 seat hardware that wouldn't fit (never happened to me. i had a good teacher, LMAO!).
