Default 1973 jack detail

I have a very nice jack that came out of an early C3 that I believe is a 1973. However, the date says just "3" instead of "3, (month code)".

I dont have a '73 Judging Guide. Anyone have any insight into this?

VB....if, memory serves me correctly there is only one number on the bottom side and I believe "3" is correct for a 1973....I do not know about any other year jack detail info, per say if it was a 71, it would be a 1.... 72 a 2 so forth and so on. I am going by memory only. If, you have the lug wrench with it...it should have a heavy rubber grommet at the lug end. Maybe Lyle or Paul here on the CF will chime in to confirm.

VB, from my 70-72 tech manual "The jack has a date code on the outer arm near the cranking end. The code is the last digit of the year followed by a letter for the month (e.g., 9M for December 1969). All jacks have the letter A for Ausco (Auto Specialties Mfg. Co.) stamped on the raised portion of the pad that contacts the chassis."
Like I said this came from the 1972 manual, The 1973 might be different, hopefully someone will clarify this for you.

Roy

Thanks for the responses guys...

However, duh. I made the post going by my failing memory. I hadn't seen the jack for awhile and just picked it up from the shop where the car is being done. Actually, it does have the full date code (3A - January) so... nevermind!

Ill post it for sale on the Parts section with a picture.
