My "new" taillights
I was at a car show this weekend and one of my friends came up and was looking over my car and said I needed to do something with my taillights. I said "I know", but I didnt want to spend $250 for a new set. He said there was a special polish for plastic and that it worked great. I went out and bought some today and with a little elbow grease my taillights look like new! The pictures don't quite do it justice, but you get the idea!
The one on the right is before and the one on the left is after - saved me $250, you gotta love friends at car shows!

Most of us already have Mother's aluminum polish in the arsenal... or some other brand. Works excellent even if the oxidation is thick; break out the Powerball and a drill and have at it! I've done this for years with no ill effect... your result may vary.
