Honda S2000 seats...
I haven't tried it so I'm afraid I'm not much help. However, I CAN tell you that those seats are apparently a hot commodity - especially with thieves. The seats are some of the best "racing style" types around from any of the major car manufacturers, and it costs around $2500 wholesale to replace them! Worse, there's no identification numbers on them, making it almost impossible to track them to one particular S2000. It's a big problem all over the country, but I guess Florida is a hot spot (no pun intended). The thieves slash the roof and go to work...

Get along, men. I don't think that calling Honda "Japchit" was racists, more xenophobic. But I can see the sensitivity in it. Shake hands and move on.
On this same topic, has anyone put Mitsubishi Eclipse (Dodge Stealth) seats in a C3? The dimensions seem pretty close, and the seats are also pretty good.
I don't give a rat's butt about keeping the car original (except from the outside). I want a dependable, comfortable cruiser that I can use to pick up all of your wives and girlfriends.

I don't care about the ethnic origin of the modifications or those that work so hard at being offended over it, I just think its sadder and sadder what people do to their Corvettes these days.
And the C3 forum is the epicenter of it all. The Tuner Formerly Known as America's Sports Car.
Who knew back in the 60's what "spinners" would mean in 2009?

You're joking, right? Let's replace "J-a-p" with "Nig*er". Still don't think it's racist? Because I honestly don't see the difference as to severity of the insult between "Japchit" and "Nig*erchit". I guess we've been sensitized to one and not the other? So easy to turn the other cheek when it ain't your cheek to turn ehh?
I have no patience for ignorance like that. I will not figuratively shake his hand, nor would I urinate upon him to extinguish the combustion of his flesh.
I had a '93 Stealth (good lord what a piece of crap that car was), and I don't seem to recall its seats being anything special. They were a lot softer than you'd expect in a sports coupe, and the bolsters weren't very strong IIRC.

Funny stuff.
In general I'm for the school of keeping the Corvette all Corvette or GM if possible. So put some C5Z or even better, some C6Z seats in your C3, and you'll love it, and your Corvette brethen will love you for it.
Corvette owners are usually pretty patriotic, regardless of whether its misplaced or not. Tell them its S2000 seats and watch the smile drop from their face..........

Interesting, do you have any clearance issues with the bolsters? How tall are you?
Im 6'1" and 190lbs and have no problems with anything for clearance or adjustment to fit me. The seats are manual adjustment now on C3 tracks, but Im OK with that.
I'd think you are kidding since this topic has been covered many many times.
If I was to do it again, I would maybe have tried to find C6Z seats as I think they have better support and look fantastic. Its been done. Look for TNBUSA's old car on this.

On the other hand, S2000 seats, as has been noted, really are some top notch seats. I'm open for anything though.
