Default The '73 Spot

I created The '73 Spot (http://www.corvetteforum.net/c3/vette73/index.htm) for the fans of the '73 Vette. But, as most of the regular visitors to the Spot have noted, it has stagnated and not been updated in a while.

CorvetteForum used to have personal home pages, but they became too much work for the administrators and they quit issuing new home pages. The 73 Spot was hosted on one of these home pages and the admins were good enough to provide me with enough diskspace to keep it going.

But then ownership changed and in a recent software update the access to the home pages was cut off. They could still be viewed but the owners could not access the pages to add, delete, or update files/pictures.

I have recently been in contact with the folks at IB and they advise me that we should have new home pages available in the next few weeks. I have been told that I would be provided with space to set up a new and improved version of The '73 Spot. They will pull the old site down in the next few days and then, when the new home page are available, I will be able to set up the new 73 Spot.

So, I hope to is to see all of you 73 lovers in the near future at the new 73 Spot.

Great site and a great effort....you will see me there. When I purchased my first 73 I found Tom's site and it just knocked me out. It was very helpful in having my car judged by NCRS as well. Great articles and photo's, ton's of infomation there. For those of you that own a 73 or are interested in owning a 73...this is a must see site. Good luck on the new site Tom and don't forget to post the new address here.

Thanks, keep up the great work Tom. Somebody on this forum has a great database on the 73s. Maybe you could incorporate that into your new site.

Big Tom,..I know it's a lot of hard work but very much appreciated. Great site. Perhaps a few of us have some stuff we can send to you and have added to the new page.

Thanks!

Just noticed this bulletin on Tom's site.

I never knew they released a flex fan for a Vette. Anybody ever see one?

Well, The '73 Spot is now gone

Now to wait and see what the upcoming home pages will amount to.

Just in case they will not work for the new '73 Spot, anyone got any suggestions?

I had considered setting up a specific but the cost for a nonprofit hobby site is too much. Anyone know of something out there that might be a back up plan.

Cool, I like your 73 resto page.

This might work for a back up. What are the limits (disk, bandwidth)?

I never saw a pop up ad while on your site.
