Default C3 17x9 Wheels

Does anyone know if 17x9 Wheels will work on my 1975 c3 I have a chance to pick up some nice TTII but they are 17x9 the owner siad that I could make them work with a 2.25" spacer on the rear and a 1.25 spacer on the front just want to know if this is true before I purchase them. Does anyone have 17x9's on there c3 ?
Thanks

I have 17x9.5 '89 vette wheels on all 4 corners with 2.5" VBP adapters....the thickness of which should yield the same offset to the final install as a stock rim....so that would be 1/2 inch to the inside and outside in your case total of a inch wider......

obviously 3/4" per side for me....

you will have to move the Ebrake cable tab to the top of the T-arm seems to be the most popular place....

the front you can do fine with same thickness adapters....you need do some measurements on the flange to mounting face of the wheels, and compare them for the correct thickness of adapters....

don't forget that it takes TEN lug nutz to get to the rotor with adapters, DO NOT USE just a plate of metal in there, unsafe...
