Default Headlight Trivia Question

In the mid 70's when GM started putting rectanglular headlights on it cars there was a company that made a kit to convert the Vette to rectangular. This was around '75 and they ran ads in car & driver. Does anyone remember these and are they still around? Just curious and trying to jog some memories.

The December 1975 issue of Vette Vues Magazine on page 89 has an add from Ecklres that shows a conversion for 68-76 corvettes to use rectangular headlamps. This conversion replaces the pop up assemblies with fixed buckets. I thought someone had a conversion that used the stock pop up system. If I dig through enough old magazines I might find it. Maybe somebody else remembers who made that.

This was a conversion that used the stock pop up system just changed the lights to rectangular. I remember the pictures and it really looked good with the lines of the car. If I remember right Car & Driver did an article on installing these. I think it was sometime in '75 or early '76 as I was just getting ready to get my license and my brother had just bought a '74.

I remember them. I went to some sort of round flamethrower high beams that surprised the inspection guys when checking aim.
If you want to do rect., it should be easy to do or do a WTB in parts & check ebay.

If memory serves, Eckler's still makes the conversion kit.
