help in removing air vent knobs

help in removing air vent *****
Trying to remove the air vent ***** on my 76 but having difficulties. Cannot find the right size allen key to fit, any suggestions?

you need to find the right size allen key... simple as that.. only way I know to do it..

A number 2 metric fits in the ones I have on the self here. Only my metrics allen keys are in a carrier with sizes called out. I would guess that the SAE equivalent size would work too.

if the allen nut is rounded off, then you could always just destroy to **** to get it off, then just replace it with a new one you can get at most parts houses.

Hi jimo. I checked my SAE allen key sizes and came up with 5/64 to unfasten those vent **** setscrews.
Not sure if you still needed and wanted to add my .02, just in case.
