The Pink Lady passes
Donna Mae Mims, the Pink Lady, passed away over the weekend. Newspaper report said the funeral parlor managed to get her '78 pink Corvette into the viewing room and had her positioned behind the wheel. She was the first woman SCCA champ
The paper said a number of Corvettes were in the funeral procession.
She was 82 and stricken by a stroke.
I lusted after her about 50 years ago.

She'll be missed - definitely a unique character. I started a thread in the 'In Memoriam' forum the other day where a few people have posted comments.

It said they had a procession of 60 Corvettes for her funeral. But the funeral pallor had her sitting behind the wheel of her car for the viewing. Thats just strikes me as creepy but it said that was her final wishes.
