my corvette project

so, i got this car about a month 1/2 ago, and it was in horrible shape. the frame was completely rusted out.. so, it had to be replaced it came out of a '74..

i pulled out the original l48, and it won't be going back in. i have a fully forged 383 lt-1 (genII) going back in, it will be carb'd.. (please keep the "worth more with orginal engine", "go efi, with your new engine" comments to yourself)

any way, here's some pics of the process. the paint is ford "sonic blue" from the '03 cobra mustangs.. i just got the car back today, and i need to get it cut and buffed..

and after it got to the guy's shop

and the new frame, freshly blasted, and por 15'd

Blue color looks terrific, good job on the resto. its your car and $$$$ you can put whatever engine you want in the car and besides you still have the original engine.

great job

did you do any of the paint prep work or did the body shop do it all??? and if you did, tell us what process you used to remove the paint, etc....I like that color choice, nice shade of Blue!!!
