I picked up a 1979 L-82 a few weeks ago. This is my first Corvette and after a few days of driving it, I have a few problems to sort out. The main issue it the windshield wipers are inoperative. I know the motor and dash switch are OK, because when I backfeed battery voltage to the white wire in the 3 wire connector on the motor the wipers function with the dash switch. From reading other threads I gather that voltage is supplied to the white wire when the key is switched to the on position and the dash switch only provides a ground to complete the circuit. I that correct? I believe the car doesn't have intermittent wipers because the dash switch only has low and high position detents and no position that I can see for intermittent operation, plus I opened the center console and can see nothing that look like a controller module. The wiper fuse is good and there is power at the fuse, verified with a test light. I disconnected the bulkhead connector at the firewall and there is continuity from the bulkhead connector to the wiper connector. The problem seems to be no power is getting from the fuse box to the proper connection at the bulkhead. Can the electrical conductor in the fuse box be easily repaired? Or am I looking at a fuse box replacement? Is the under dash wire harness attached to the fuse box with a connector or is it hard wired to the box? The car needs to be inspected soon, and I really don't want to Bubba-ize the wiring by running a wire through the firewall to the wiper motor. I have a lot of other questions too, but I'll post them later. One thing at a time.

There is a relay that is under the center console on the drivers side tunnel, under the left side of the a/c control under the radio...It's a sort of large thing with a bunch of wires that come out of the back of it, that go to 2 alligator connectors....Start looking at that as your problem seeing you did a good job of troubleshooting the rest of the system....Ground the blue wire at the connection and see if the wipers run. If you can't figure out what it is, pm me and I'll e-mail you a picture of it.
