Default Please help with interior light problem.

Just restored my whole interior on my 1981 corvette. I changed everything but left the wiring completely alone. Just checked and all the fuses are good. I turn the interior light switch and everything works great. headlight turn on, speedometer and tachometer, all of the center bezel lights work and glove compartment light turn on. Only problem is the every time i go to turn the courtesy lights and dome light on the fuse burns out. re did the wiring to the dome light for as far as i could see but still burn the fuse. What could it be?
Thanks

Do the lights work with the door switchs? Did you change any of the bulbs in the dome lights? Sounds like you may have pinched a wire going to one of the lights or installed the wrong bulb in one of the lights. The bulbs have two contacts in the bottom and have power all the time and the headlight switch or door switchs provide the ground to make the lights work.
