These seem like they will fit perfectly. I like the look of the torq thrusts but dont like the weight of cragars. i know that 17s offer a better tire selection but they look too riced out for a car made in 72 in my opinion.
Looking thru a Street Rodder Magazine I came across this ad, maybe you should check it out cause it beats your price by a bunch. www.rodparts.us
Good luck in your search, Peace,,,Moosie
Apparently that website is not running yet but if you can get a copy of the December issue of "Street Rodder" mag. look on page 85 for the ad. Peace again, Moosie

Reason: website not working
I have a set of Torque Thrusts from the 60's they were on my 64 when I got it. They are 15" and the center area is gray. If anyone is interested I will sell them very reasonably. The have older tires on them. I would prefer pick up since I dont want to pack them. They are very cool classic rims and are in great shape. $300 for the set. I will take some pictures.

15x8
5x4.75 bolt circle
-12mm offset
4" backspace.
these should fit just like oem i believe
I like several different wheels on different c3's,
Turbines look good to me and I love Tru spokes, I too just dig old school wheels on the classic old school c3 any wheel past about 16" or too modern and/or with rubber band tires does look just too, as you put it "ricer"
I would have to say for me no other wheels looks more perfect on all c3's than the Torque d's,
Not sure of those will fit your car but they will look sweeeet!
On a side note I am in the market for old school wheels, the problem is the rears must be 10" or 12" wide fronts can be 8" chevy bolt circle.
Check this link to a previous post. The T70R is a different finish than the T71R but the fit should be the same and I think they both look ALMOST as good as the Torq Thrust"D"!!
They sure look great on this car. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...-rims-pic.html
id like to find a set of nice tru spokes. my dad had a 69 stingray growing up that had them, beautiful.
he sold that and a few years later bought a 69 mustang with keystone klassics. nice but not beautiful. he swapped those for cragars. the look just fits the car.
i know cragars are cheaper and can be made to work with the 1/2 inch spacer but they are heavy. the specs i found on the 15" torq thrust are 19lbs without tire. thats a lot less than the cheaper cragars so in this case the extra 50 bucks per wheel seems worth it.
besides if i wanted a car that i was planning on tracking or street racing i would have gotten a c5 at the least.
