I am trying to change the plug wires. I have taken off the cover/routing pieces from underneath. I have 2 wires that go through the engine mount. Is the only way to replace these to remove the mounts and jack up the engine???
I find it kinda amusing this is the most difficult problem I have encountered while doing a transmission rebuild!
What I did on my 82 was just put the distributor end of the plug wire thru the gap between the mount and the block and feed it thru that way. The cap end of the wire is narrower that the plug end.
For some reason I didn't even think of putting the cap end of the wire through the mount. Duh!
Thanks for the idea, I'll get it back together this weekend. Now all I have to do is get the brakes working. Always something!
