Default 72 coupe - rust problem

No new problem to most. Any suggestions concerning rusted out/through corners under windshield other than just rust inhibitors?

are you wanting to fix the rusted out portions or just do a preventaitive treatment to stop them from rusting?

Search for threads on "birdcage" rust. Most will cut them out and rebuild with new sheet metal.

Forum vendor Willcox has a kit with pre-formed metal that you can weld in. Here is a pic:

Hey.. I've seen that pic before....

GW.. This is not a easy job and to be honest with you.... you might want to purchase this before ever buying the first part!

http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=26294

This is a publication we did about a year ago and it details the repair from start to finish. It was offered to the forum members as a free upload for 1 month so maybe...(It's ok guys).... Maybe someone will shot your a copy of it!

Making this also allow us to have changes made in production to the upper header (they are now even better).

I would prefer to fix the rusted out portion. I have applied some rust preventive chemicals already in an attempt to mitigate further rust (likely a temp repair)

Thanks, sounds like the perfect, yet hard, fix.
