The time/build code for your car is in the upper right corner of the trim tag on the driver's door hinge post. A '70 assembly in July will have an G in the code for the month. The two numbers stand for the day of the month. G01 would be July 1st. July was the last month of production for the '70 models.

If yours has been machined away, why bother worrying about it?

LS-5 period correct Replacement Block, Original Cylinder Heads, Double forged Aluminum Pistons, Performance Cam Package/Hi-Rev Hydraulic Lifers, LS-6 Intake Manifold with correct Holly 780 CFM double pump Carburator, MSG Ignition, Hooker Headers with Chrome side Pipes. The engine has less than 100 miles since complete rebuild with all new Bearings, Gaskets, etc. It is balanced and produces over 500 Horsepower.
PAINT AND BODY: Complete body-on restoration finished 1-10-09. The project included over 300 hours stripping the body to bare fiberglass and prep with a complete paint job in Bridgehampton Blue applied personnally by Chuck Jugans (of Indy car fame). So Pablito...just enjoy the car!
i bought the car in february..and it has the replacement block.
i found the site:

Approximate birthday 194370S417064: July 30, 1970

but the mine should has the the suffix CZU
then your block casting date should be around july 1, 1970 ( plus/minus a couple of weeks)... the numbers on the left of the pad should be TXXXXCZU, where XXXX should be a month and a day code.. perhaps somewhere around 0715. the right side of the pad should be 70S417064. of course then you have specific fonts that will need to be used for each letter and number and perhaps a 'I' instead of a '1' in special cases.. don't forget the broach marks.. and don't forget the cast numbers and dates numbers on the transmission/heads/intake/carb/exhaust need to be pretty close to that also..
Your car was built in the final 2 days of corvette production in 1970...
then your block casting date should be around july 1, 1970 ( plus/minus a couple of weeks, or maybe minus a couple of months)... the numbers on the left of the pad should be TXXXXCZU, where XXXX should be a month and a day code.. perhaps somewhere around 0715 or maybe months earlier.
As stated earlier, the variations in engine ***'y casting and date can be up to six months.
