Default Corvette Roadster Headrests

Have any of you seen these before? Supposed to be for 70-75 roadsters, but don't know why they wouldn't work on a 69 also. Just won these on the auction site and looked pretty interesting. I have and extra deck lid that I could try these on once there painted.

I researched the 68 thru 72 then ended up with a pair of 70's a coupe and a vert and never seen anything like what you have in your pictures.
I dought they were any kind of factory option but may have been a dealer option or more like a aftermarket in the later 70's.
I would do more research on them before trying to install them. those head rest could be rare and you might not want to put them on.
I'm sure others might know more about them or even had some in the 70's.
BTW those head rest would look cool on a vert deck lid as you had mentioned.

They certainly weren't a factory option. I'm thinking some aftermarket company made them. The ad said they were for a Corvette 70-75 so somewhere they must have gotten some info on them. I couldn't pass up something unique like these.

Those swirl polished plates in the picture also came with the headrests. Those are block off plates for the rear exhaust panel, I assume when someone switched to side exhaust. It could be those are the 70-75 parts as they would not work with a 68-69

never produced or considered for corvette c3, aftermarket or custom, I have never seen anything like that and I have been an owner -starting in corvettes 1970 with a 67, c3 in 73.

This was sent to me by 69restomod out of a Corvette Fever article. Similar concept.

Also the ones I bought I am told are Riverside Gold, a Corvette color, so tells me most likely they were on a Corvette.
