Hi there ! I have a 72 Convertible and need to find someone in the Union County, NJ area that can install a dash harness . IF anyone knows a reputable installer can you please contact me at martyrl@verizon.net. Thanks, Marty
Why not give it a go yourself. I have instructions on how to get the dash out of the car on the site. Not that hard but you have to take your time.
Once you have the dash pad and center console out of the way, the dash main harness is plug and play! You can't mess it up trust me! The only key thing to remember and a very common mistake is for someone to run the main branch of wires behind the dash instead of on top of it.
There are plenty of people here that have done this job, and we can help you if you get stuck...
And if all of us combined can't get you through it Ernie will jump in his truck and come to your house and install it for you and pay for your medical bills.
Hey Ernie did all the dash harness's go over ? It seems that the early ones went behind the speedo but maybe you are referring to the OPs year.
This goes with the old sale.... "Free Seat Install Sale.." We ran this on two forums.. and it didn't come from here... but I had a guy want to know how we were going to put the seats in his car for him.... I"m not kidding.....
I can check but as far as I'm aware 68-77 all went on top the speedo and tach! I'm in Cinn. tonight but will be home late tomorrow and I'll give it a look.
