Reason: more info
8162 4 speeds in '78 (base 4 spd + M21 option). 1991 Dark Brown exteriors. should be code 89 on the front driver side door jamb tag. 693 light beige cloth and 3338 leather.
How many of this color combo with a 4 speed- Nobody knows.
Im going to restore this car if purchased what is this car worth after restoration?
It will be worth less than the cost of the restoration, especially if you're planning an accurate restoration to original condition. That's the ugly truth with late c3's.
Sorry....I'm not trying to pi$$ in your cornflakes.....I've got a 78 too.

You'll never get your money back, especially with the brown color as it is not one of the more popular Corvette colors. I've got a 78' too
My 78 was same dark brown color. PO repainted it red and changed out the interior to black with leather seats. My opinion is, if you go through the cost of repaint and interior like mine, do it in what ever color combo pleases you, with the understanding that you will not come out ahead financially no matter what. Maybe a good paint job will last 20-25 years? After that time, perhaps these will be worth enough to go back to the OE color for some collectors. Until then, just enjoy the car.
