Tall guys chime in.
I've always loved the looks of 1968-72 Vettes, and have wanted one since I was around 8 and walked home from school past one every day from school. Anyways, I'm 6'2" now, and was wondering how tight of a fit these cars are. I'm kinda weird about asking people if I can sit in their cars, so I've yet to sit in one since I've actually become a fully grown adult. How do you fellow tall guys feel about the comfort of these cars? I always hear that they're a super tight fit.

I'm 6'3", and weigh around 245. It's not uncomfortable tight but much different than plopping down in a normal, newer car. Mine has no power steering and is a 4 speed so you have to hustle it a bit... but it's worth it.

I am 6' 2" and have owned C3's for over 35 years. No height problems. A little narrow, but who cares, I never notice or it does not bother me when driving.

I'm 6'2" with a 36" inseam and size 13 shoes. The only issue I have is folding under the steering wheel since I don't have tilt.

Me too, 6'2" 156, REALLY all legs, (the guys a Taekwondo hate it) but Its fine for me, I could see how it would be a little difficult in a standard car because my right knee rests on the shifter ****... but its fine for me, I have PLENTY of head room, another 2-3 inches with the t-top liner still in

I'm 6'2" 215 pounds and have a '72 convertible.
With the top up I have a tough time getting in. I have to almost get in the fetal position to get my head inside. But once inside I have plenty of headroom. Fortunately I do have tilt/tele steering.
Leg room is not too bad with the tilt wheel.
Of course with the top down getting in is much easier.
Shoulder room is a little tight but not too bad. I find myself resting my arm on top of the door more than I do in my C5.

I have a '69 roadster and had an original tilt/tele rebuilt and put in--best thing I ever did. It is really comfortable now, no problem slamming the clutch (I used to hit the wheel).
You can also put washers under the front seat frame bolts which slants the seat back some and helps with the leg clearance. I did that in my '66s.
The tops are a little bit different story. Although I virtually never use either the soft or hard tops, when I have experimented with them, I can't relly sit up, I need to scrunch down in the seat, and with a cap on, I have to scrunch way down. But hey, that's why I never drive with the tops on/up!

6'2" 200lbs here...
I changed the stock steering wheel for a nice leather wrapped, and smaller diameter, one.
Wth the stock steering wheel it was tight, but it's no problem any longer...

When you have one powered up... you tend to ignore it.
One problem I do have is the car must have tilt if it's a manual shift! Manual shift non tilt cars I can not drive... I can't let the clutch out without opening the door!
No when I drive my 62 I look like Fred Flintstone...

I'm 6'2" 218lbs I have a 69 non tilt wheel and it's a little tighter than my 81 with tilt wheel. You might want to avoid a 68 if your sholders are wide because the upper door panel sticks out a little more than other c3's. I feel a little more cramped in a 68.
