Has anyone ever installed a dvd, gps, stereo with a 7" touchscreen in a C3? What are the issues I need to consider?
I bought it now I have to get it in.

I have had thoughts of mounting an LCD panel in the map pocket location (maybe behind a fold down cover similar to a glove box door), and then install a blank panel, or a pop out cup holder, in the stock radio location....

I have a 7.5 in screen in mine but I didn't put it in myself so at least you know it's possible...

Here's a pic of my install. If you have a seperate module for Tuner you have to mount that in another location. My alpine has a seperate tuner pack that I mounted in the storage area. I was going to mount it behind the drivers seat but then the seat would not go back all the way and I needed that for leg room.

June Bug and spedaleden have touch screens, but the single din retractable kind.

Hopefully thats what you bought, because if you have a double din unit, it's gonna be a bastard to put in. Well, you'll just have to sacrifice (or move) some gauges.

Default Stereo Installation

I just finished putting a Dual XDVDN8190 in my 74. It went in fairly easy, the hardest part was mounting the GPS antenna and running wires from the rear view camera I put in. I mounted the antenna under the rear dck, I glued a 12 X 12 metal plate space down 3/4 ". Otherwise it was pretty much a standard stereo installation. Lot of glare in the daytime, pretty cool at night. The sound is better than the Sony I had before. I have a small amp and a single SW in the jack compartment.

I like it a lot. The Bluetooth works great also.

Thanks folks. These look great! I did get a single din player so no worries there.

Have you got a picture of this? I just firgured I would run it anywhere out of sight. Is there a place where it has to be?

how the heck do you reach the screen? I have a remote to operate the stereo. To manually change the channel I have to really lean forward. ???????????????????

I put an alpine in my 68. It's not that hard once you get past cutting the bezel. After that it's just like any other install. There are a couple companies that make a single din bezel if you don't want to cut yours(about 240.00 if I remember correctly)

Those look good, but I think if someone took the factory gauges out, and put a 7" double din deck there and moved the gas gauge, the oil pressure gauge and the water temp gauge down to where the factory radio goes, it would look really good.

Plus, if your oil pressure gauge leaks, it won't fry the radio.
