Default Delco Shocks

I was working under the vette today and noticed that the springs still had the yellow sticker on the, they were faded away, but they were still on there. Everything underneath the car looks original, so out of curiosity I decided to look at the shocks and found out that they were the original Delco shocks, part number 4975167. I don't know why any of the previous owners never changed the shocks.

Great stuff...when you find its original...but, whats your point? Or have you ran out and purchased new shocks?

Well I thought that was an interesting find. I'll have to go out and buy a set ASAP before I drive it since these are the originals. I hope I can find the build sheet inside since the fuel tank was replaced and the build sheet is no longer there.

Unfortunately that wasn't the only thing I found, I also found a broken piece that one of the previous owners broke and tried to repair:
This is the top section of the left fender, at least the broken piece is there. I'm going to sand it all the way down and remove the piece to fix it correctly. What do you guys think about the duct tape that was used here to repair the fix, wow.

Bubba never sleeps!

Regards the build sheet...when you pull up the carpet look under the drivers side...I have found them all over the place...but that would be your best bet. You may wish to look under the dash...behind the radio....but, I would check the entire length of the underside of the dash.....good hunting!

What year is your car? If it's 77-81, go here http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can get a copy of the original invoice for your car. The invoice will include all the options, colors, etc for the car and will have you the search for a build sheet.

It's a '74. I wish they had a place where we could get the info for these older vettes.
