Split Tail on a 78?
Would it be possible to put a split tail bumper on a 78? Just looking for options and I like the split tail design.

You mean like a 2 piece 74? It's only fiberglass, anything is possible.

To each his own, I don't like that look. That's why they have menus at restaurants.

Some replacement bumpers are listed for 74 to 82 so it should fit rather easily with only minor mods. There is some extra hardware required for the split 74 bumper.

The '74 Two-Piece Rear Bumper will bolt-on just fine, well... as fine as any C3 bumper!

Exactly!
I cant stand those little mini-bumpers on the ends. Im actually considering replacing both the front and rear bumpers with 74's.

I'm pretty sure somebody makes the 74 rear bumper in fiberglass without the seam as well if you want to eliminate that - i went a different route.
