Well, I bit the bullet and cut out the opening of my '81's center console to install a new JVC stereo. To all you purists - sorry, but that's what the wife wants! Everything looks great, but you should see how the installer of the old Alpine had this thing wired up. No wonder it never sounded right!
Anyway, I have a wiring problem. I've got the front speakers figured out, but I need to ID the wires for the rears. I have:
Dark blue
Brown
Yellow
Light blue
I need to know the + and - for the left and right rear. Anyone, lend a brother a hand?
Thanks for the help, gentlemen! I pulled the rear speakers to get the right color combos wired up to the head unit - then used the "AA" method to determine one of them was blown!
Everything's up and sounding fantastic now - the wife is THRILLED!
