1978 headlight switch removel
Sorry I know it has been posted before.............. just went thru search feature but couldnt fine it.... I know i have to pull headlight **** out and push in button to remove **** and shaft.... how do you remove the switch itself from dash

Just in case they missed something, you might want to take a look at this too! I know it says for the wiper switch, but the headlamp is right above it.

For me, removing the headlight switch was easy once I got the **** out of the switch. Here is a picture that shows the spring-loaded button you need to find on top of the switch and push all the way in (red arrow):
