Found a post on craigs list for a set of American Racing wheels and could be interested if they would fit...
The rear wheels are, 17" x 11" w/ 285/40 ZR17 BFG tires 6.75 Inch Back Spacing...
the back spacing is the concern, but...
I am running Single off set trailing arms... the brake caliper is a stock style aftermarket caliper.
Any thoughts on if this is to wide for the wheel well or if the back spacing would be an issue for the brakes and or trailing arms?
i managed 4.5" backspacing on mine with stock suspension... but i was running 20x9rims... i'm not 100%, but i think the single offsets are 1" deeper than stock?... so you might get away with a 5.5" or a 6" ......
i'm sure someone else will chime that runs wider tires
No they won't fit. They are probably for a newer car like a C4 that runs wheels with big backspace. About the maximum backspace 17" wheel that will fit a C3 is 5" or maybe 5.5". Even so you won't get 11s on the back without major modifications or having them stick outside the wheel arch. I'm sure you will get other opinions but I would pass on these.
