Thanks for the quick reply. No the car is all one color and it seems from what I can tell it has always have been that way. I am sure it has been repainted. If the L stands for lower, would there not be another number on the plate for an upper color.
The data plate says
Paint 13L
Trim 152
....this started in the 1974 model year. Even though the Corvette BlackBook and the NCRS Judging Guide says 1974 Corvettes had the three digit 9xx paint codes like 1973 Corvettes did, the 1974 had the xxL for the paint code such as my Orange '74. It is code 80L. On the original build sheet, right side it says 80 Upper and beneath it it says 80 Lower. I guess some other GM models in '74 were two tone when they started this.
I believe you have all the info you need number wise...I would like to offer you this. I believe you can still go to any GM dealer and order it.
In addition, the Silver's are without a doubt, the hardest to Touch-up. Where ever you secure you paint (I believe you are ordering a tube) make sure you shake the tube vigorously for at least 10 min's if not 15 min's, and avoid applying in direct sun light. If, you do not, it just won't match. It may look good straight on...but, go 5 degree's in any direction and it will jump off the car at you.....Just some food for thought.
