There may be several versions/applications for these pieces.
Every '68 I have seen (earliest was 00164---latest was 26591, with several in between) were equipped with one piece per side, and have four (4) mounting holes. The forth hole conforms to a stud that is located on the panel behind the seats.
Every '69 I have seen has three (3) mounting holes---the rear stud not there. (earliest was 3822 and latest was 38701).
I'm not saying that there couldn't have been different configurations, but since all of the bodies were built in the same plant, if seems unlikely that there would have been differences in the middle of a run.
Check your car for hole numbers/configurations, and for the presence of the stud.
I have never seen the the "double" set up that DZRick's photos show. Maybe there was a late change since his is a June car? DZ, is the stud present on your car? How about your car FlaVert?
'68's are fun/maddening to work with. There should be a complete tech guide devoted to this year.

Mine have 3 holes for mounting and I'll have to double check the build date. I think both were June built but these came out of my parts car. I'll check both cars for the studs tomorrow. I'll supply vin #'s too.
My May 10, 1968 built coupe has them on BOTH the driver and passenger sides and I am second owner having owned the car since 1972, so I believe they are original.

Kurt,
Can you tell if yours are two pieces like the ones I posted pictures of?
Does your car have the studs?
That also tells me what Paragon has is not correct for a 68. The search continues...
When you consider that this item goes under the rug - unseen by all human eyes - you could always drill the 4th hole in the paragon part -turning it back into a 1968 part.
Someone here would make you a template to drill by.
Just wanted to let you guys know that I found the 4 hole seatbelt guide plates, as well as a battery box bottom and a set of windshield washer nozzles.
