Having watched Miami Vice as a teenager, I always dug that replica. I see at least one company still makes them. Anyone familiar with the Rowley GTC or the company in general?
I live about 2 miles from Rowley Corvette. I have been there a couple times. He is still restoring and selling Corvettes. If I can follow up on something for you let me know.

I see one running around here in Miami often. It's surprisingly not as cool looking in person than it is on pics and the show. I really loved that car in the show. Something about the way it looks in person does not look right but this one is the real deal as I have seen it at car cruise events. I think maybe with mild updating like 18" wheels it might blend better with today's styling n still not lose the original look n feel.
I saw a 65 BB Coupe he did. It looked pretty good. I'm not sure he is still doing the repros anymore. Call him, or if you'd like I can take a run to his shop and see what he's doing.

There were some real pieces of cr@p being turned out by shops looking to cash in on Miami Vice, but IIRC Rowley did some of nicer ones.
If I were doing one, I'd give strong consideration to following thru with building a stout, high-revving, 4-valve SB or LSX for it. Yes, I said 4-valve. IMHO, it should go without saying that it ought to get a manual transmission, geared accordingly. Keep us posted...
