Default Truflex bumper cover install

I bought truflex bumpers for front and rear for my 74 coupe. My question is that as I am trying to fit it up the front bumper cover, the cross bar seams to be in the way,my question is do I remove it or leave it in place?

You remove the honeycomb and the bumperette supports and grind the top lip off of the metal bumper. Then the fun begins...

Hi Barry,

When I replaced bumper cover's on the 1973/1974's,I didn't have to mess with the cross bar or anything else for that matter. The Cover's went on fairly easily. I had to be a contortionist to install some of the hardware though.

Thank you! We had a lot of fun building the Cobra. It was quite an adventure too.

Thing's are going fine. I'm in South Florida on vacation right now.We were going to go to N.Va. on the second part of the Vacation but decided to go back to Oklahoma early because of the Snow storm. That's ok, it'll give me a chance to get an early start to tear into the '73.
Business is good with a full waiting list.........and you?

Marty.
